6 Simple Steps to de-stress and enjoy the holidays. Rein in those reindeer!
1. Keep it simple. Decide which traditions to keep, which to ditch (or create simpler versions).
2.  Send eco-friendly e-cards with love and non-carbon components.
3.  Reuse gift bags or use the funnies or old scrap material to wrap presents.
4.  Try a cookie swap with friends instead of baking ALL those goodies by yourself.
5.  Say “no” to that one more shin-dig (unless you really want to go).
6.  Have a game night with the kiddies or friends instead of going out. Try Glogg for a traditional adult concoction to warm your tummy):
  • 1 bottle of red wine (port is yummy)
  • 1/2 liter brandy
  • 10 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick (broken)
  • 1/2 orange peel (dried or fresh)
  • 1/2 lbs sugar
  • Optional: 5 cloves, 1/2 c raisins, 1/2 c almonds, 5 dried figs
  • Simmer all on the stove for several hours, strain and enjoy!
